10:33 am	coming up This Saturday, dawn and I are headed up to a fairly new dungeon, called The Edge, to demo Qadishti BDSM (see description below). And we have started to work on next years schedule, with our first Feb 2009 booking set :) By the way, you may already know that Tristan Taormino is a great author if you've read her newest book. She is also a great event organizer, and her Dark Odyssey events are always top notch Qadishti BDSM Qadishti BDSM is a style of play that incorporates sacred sexuality and energy work into your BDSM scene. dawn (a Reiki Master and Teacher), and Dan (a Qadishti practitioner of many years) will discuss how energy flows through our bodies and how to take your BDSM experience deeper. Focusing on basic energy concepts (such as chakras), they will discuss how to integrate this into your BDSM experience. (Comment on this)

9:40 pm	Texas done, off to Clevland OH Back from event in Texas, and what a blast. 175 people and one of the best communities we've come across. Ok, so there was one person there who seemed stuck on the 'I am a DOM so do not need so show respect nor even simple courtesy!' But I tell you, one person like that out of 175 great friendly people ain't bad at all :) (And to be honest, people like that just add to future presentations, so in that I can be grateful) :) Coming up next - Smartfest, which has always been one of our favorite events. 12:31 pm	Central Texas Kink: Stations of the Cross Greetings Everyone! CTK is pleased to welcome back Dan and dawn from Columbus, Ohio!  At SoTC 3, Dan and dawn were our Key Note speakers the Friday before the SOTC Event. This was a huge success!  This year, we are please to announce that Dan and dawn have once again agreed to give another Key Note address at the CTK Munch on April 25, 2008. The Topic for this year’s Key Note address is:  Dan and dawn will speak about living life to the fullest, embracing our own sexuality, and not letting life pass you by watching other do the things you long to do! The location of this CTK Munch will be withheld until you RSVP.  There is ONLY 50 spots available at this munch, so PLEASE RSVP early!!!  Please also be aware that this munch will begin at 6:30pm instead of 7pm so that you can come and order food and finish eating by 8:30pm.  No more food orders will be taken after 8pm so that the doors may be closed to the meeting room for privacy.  We will also instruct the wait staff not to enter after 8:30pm. The restaurant is open until 12am, so you are free to stay and order food after Dan and dawn are finished. This invitation is being sent to folks who have RSVPed for SoTC FIRST.  In the event that we do not receive 50 RSVPs we will open it up to folks on the CTK list next.  Please ONLY RSVP if you are certain you can attend!  If for some reason you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possibly! We thought this was the year we calmed down, but we have a couple of months coming up with two bookings in the same months. Not a big deal to some of our friends, who do 4 to 6 per month. 5:40 pm	Carmine Pop Up We've been amazed at the positive responses we've gotten from our small sacred touch setup at AIS. We are working on what we are going to do with that next, so stay tuned. We've recently added Heartland Poly Conference to our presenting schedule. 9:39 pm	Our Haven We were just confirmed for Heartland Poly Retreat in a few months, and a possible a few months after that. Heartland Poly is held at Our Haven. When dawn and I talk about 'getting our land', these folks are living that dream. Going there is very rejuvinating. 3:28 pm	Red Tent And the 'vague plan' has turned into a concrete plan. We are still working out the final details, but there will be a Red Tent at Winter Wickedness this Saturday in Columbus, OH. This will be an area of Sacred Touch/Sexuality, guided by a High Priest and High Priestess. The rules will be simple and those participating can decide how much clothing they want to wear and how much touching is allowed.  There will be an altar set up, though no specific pantheon will be singled out.  Dan may have more to post about it...but I wanted to make sure to put out there that we are difinately doing this.  :) (Comment on this)

1:10 pm	just a vague plan at this point Red Tent Modified for Wicked Winter     So, at this part, this is a ramble, not a plan.   This could be the first step in (re) kicking off Temple Azure, an active working Sacred Sexuality Temple in Columbus area. Location, specifics to be determined. Step one – should such a thing be done is answered (yes). Next step, how, is TBD The Red Tent is a space for sacred sexuality. For this event, it will focus on sensuality, energy, and sacred touch. It will borrow aspects of a Temple of Aphrodite thing that we participated in as well as other aspects, but will not be dedicated to any specific deity or tradition. But feel free to bring your own. There will be an alter of sorts, but nothing that implies that this working is dedicated to one specific pantheon. The Red Tent will be set up in the dungeon or around it, during normal dungeon hours. I will seek permission to set it up, but really, from one perspective, it is just another scene, no different from any other. Except it will have a static location and operate for a long part of the night as a ‘series of scenes’. Upon entering the Red Tent, each person will be anointed in some way to symbolize a welcoming to sacred space. We could set up in the main dungeon, but need some separation as well. I’d like to set up red cloth walls around it. We’d need plenty of room though. There will be a) people who are monitoring and helping people with questions, welcoming to the space; b) people who want to administer sacred touch/give energy and c) people who want to receive touch/energy. A massage table gives us focus and ease of connection but only allows for one ‘receiver’ at a time. I’d like there to be able to be more than one ‘receiver’ at a time. Still thinking. Anyone can be a giver. Anyone can be a receiver. We will welcome all equally. One blanket set of limits? Or no limits? Or individual limits (ala objectification room)? We need chocolate, water, the red quadishti blanket, sensation toys, and more red material. LOTS of it. Does wally world sell red bed sheets? In silk? Although this is a pleasure trip, we hope to take in some kinky sights :) Come April, we were just booked to head to Austin Texas and do presentations/keynote at Stations of the Cross, one of the most delightful events out there. With just under ninety (90) people attending, it was standing room only for Dan & dawn's presentation on Sensual Spanking at GD2's December educational event. At least until Dan & dawn started requesting volunteers, at which point several lucky attendees who accepted the invitation got to bend over for a bit. Dan & dawn quickly lived up to their reputation as energetic, hilarious speakers, putting audience members at ease and ramping up the energy in the room. In front of a highly engaged audience, and using several volunteers to great effect, Dan & dawn focused intently on ways to reach the goal of sensual spanking: a profound, intimate bond characterized by physical and energetic connection. Far more than a simple, thoughtless smack on the ass, sensual spanking requires focus, attention, and being present. Dan & dawn offered advice on how to get started and to set the scene, discussed the importance of maintaining continual contact, and suggested creative positions and numerous hand techniques to achieve desired sensations. Just as importantly, they also talked about various ways to communicate and provide feedback to each other while engaged in spanking.
